Yesteryear Collection



When first introduced the Lincoln Zephyr was hailed by the museum of modern art as "The finest, successfully designed, streamlined car in America". This was indeed for a car with on overall lenght of 5,33 metres and weighing around 1707 kgs.
The V12 power unit developed 110 bhp and the car was capable of very respectable 150 kmh.

The (Y64-1) 1938 Lincoln Zephyr Convertible joined the range in 1992.

Variations/Rarities: The first version had a cream painted body with a cream plastic tonneau. The numberplate is black with a lemon yellow border and UK92.
There are no rare variations.

Production of issue 1 (cream body) was 35,000.

In 1995 the Lincoln was recoloured to maroon (plum red) with a white tonneau with the numberplate being white with black C780. It was re-issued as one of the models in the "Grand Marques" series and was coded by Matchbox Collectibles as YY064/B.

In 1999 Matchbox Collectibles redesignated the Lincoln Zephyr from the Models of Yesteryear series into the Dinky series (DYM35180).
